- Build a mosque, or even take part in building one
- Pray the 12 sunnah salahs each day, plus 4 raka’h Salat al-Ishraq
- Reading surah ikhlas 10 times.
- Perform wudu, lay down to sleep on the right side and read the following dua
اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَةً وَرَهْبَةٌ إِلَيْكَ ، لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ ، آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ».
Allaahumma aslamtu nafsee ilaika, wa fawwadhtu amree ilaika, wa wajjahtu wajhee ilaika, wa alja’tu dhahree ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika, laa malja’ wa laa manja minka illa ilaika, aamantu bi kitaabikal-lathee anzalta wa bi Nabiyyikal-lathee arsalta. (Al-Bukhari,Muslim) “O Allah, I submit myself to You, entrust my affairs to You, turn my face to You, and lay myself down depending upon You, hoping in You and fearing You. There is no refuge, and no escape, except to You. I believe in Your Book (the Qur’an) that You revealed, and the Prophet whom You sent.” - making a dua at a market place *When entering market – 1 لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخُيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٍ Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, yuhyee wa yumeetu, wa Huwa hayyun laa yamootu, biyadihil-khayru, wa Huwa alaa kulli shayin Qadeer. There is no Lord except Allah. He is One and has no partners. His is the Kingdom and for Him are all praises. He gives life and gives death. He is eternal and everlasting In His control is goodness, and He has power over everything.
- Feed the poor – practice of shukoor, practice of gratitude
- Fast consistently – practice of sabr, practice of patience
- Praying qyiam ul layl, tahajjud – practice of ihsan/excellence
- Avoid argument, even when you are right – practice of hilm/forbearance
- Avoid lying, even when joking – practice of wara’, of cautious
