Don’t get me wrong,
I love sunshine just fine.
Blue sky, bright days with fluffy clouds
Floating leisurely across the horizon.
A blessing indeed.
But I hold night a little close to my heart
My soul comes alive in darkness
With rain and an overcast moon,
I am in my element.
Hanging terrace, howling wind,
Promises unseen.

Or

A wicked night in the city,
A wild party of one, getting drunk in pain
Howling like a wolf, on the quiet streets.
I am that vagabond,
That one who incites pity in passers-by.
